I had the pleasure of photographing Kathleen and James wedding this past November at Colonial Country Club in Fort Myers. I loved all the ideas Kathleen told me she was incorporating in her wedding…so artistic and creative! The wedding day was perfect, everything went smoothly and the weather was ideal. You have to love Florida in November, my favorite month!

Starting off…some of Kathleen’s items. Did you know most brides spend just as much time finding the right shoes as they do their dress (or if you are like me, spent more time finding the shoes!)? Just a fun fact and I had to point out Kathleen’s shoes…love them! She was a stunning bride!

It is already the end of 2011! And before I close out the year I wanted to end on a quick sneak peek of a truly lovely wedding I photographed earlier this week. Fort Myers Senior Portraits

I feel old. This wonderful young man I can actually remember when he was a baby. He has always been my dear friend’s little brother…and now he has grown up! Where does the time go? I fear there may be many more posts like this, haha! Anyway, it was a joy to do Joshua’s senior photos. I had a lot of fun and Josh..well he was super patient. I can’t imagine that taking senior photos is many guys highlights, but I’m excited he hung in there until the end! We covered a lot of ground in the River District (which by the way is decorated for Christmas already, yay!!) and then finished up in my studio. Such a handsome young man, but more importantly I was so impressed with what a mature person he has become, so grounded in his faith. The necklace he sported was something he got when he was on a missions trip to Haiti. I love seeing this next generation pouring themselves into other people. Congratulations Josh, all the best as you finish up high school!

Jennifer & Josh, Fort Myers Weddings

I just realized I haven’t blogged any weddings in a LONG time! We’ve had so many this year and I always feel that when I blog I need to write a little something about their day…and if you follow my blog you know writing isn’t my strong point This wedding was back in May and was the start of 7 weddings we had in less than 5 weeks. It was a busy, but very fun month. We started in Fort Myers, went up to Pennsylvania, back down to Sanibel and Captiva, Fort Myers Beach, then Key West and then ended back at Fort Myers Beach for the last few.

So back to Jennifer and Josh…what a sweet couple! The ceremony and reception took place at Plantation Golf and Country Club. I love this property, the inside has such a classy elegant feel and the outside is beautiful greens, woods, etc. Never a shortage of great backgrounds. And the bridal party was a blast (and great sports despite the heat!) as they played around on the golf carts. What a great start to a new life…congratulations Jennifer and Josh! I wish you many years of happiness!

Captiva Beach Family Photos

What a beautiful evening for beach photos at South Seas Resort. I love it went it runs smooth and hard not to with such great subjects. Ahhh… I love my job! And on that note, just a little reminder…book now for your family holiday photos. Weekends are scarce this time of year and our daylight is getting shorter and shorter! But the weather is beautiful, got to love this time of year in Florida! And Gillian – your family is precious! I thoroughly enjoyed photographing your lovely family and meeting you all! I look forward to next time!

Fort Myers Engagement and Wedding Photographer

I’m loving downtown Fort Myers, or I guess we’re calling it the River District! We had the perfect day (minus humidity!) for Julia and Scott’s engagement photos. I know most people like their sunny days for photos, but an overcast day has such beautiful lighting! Plus, doesn’t hurt that we had a couple of great subjects They were such a fun-loving couple and I enjoyed getting to know them and looking forward to there April wedding. Alison Beyer Photography has been photographing our family since 2003. She has been there for our engagement, family, personal and wedding photos and has done an AMAZING job on every event!

When our family and friends saw our photo’s she quickly became the family photographer and has photographed all their special events, in Fort Myers!
